1. Belgium's first confirmed case of the 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease has been reported, signaling the presence of the outbreak in the country.
2. The World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners have collaboratively developed a comprehensive global strategic preparedness and response plan, aiming to halt the further transmission of the 2019‐nCoV within and beyond China, while minimizing the impact of the outbreak worldwide. Additionally, WHO is actively engaging with the travel and tourism industry to address concerns, implement necessary measures, and find solutions in line with the International Health Regulations (2005) for effective management of the Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
In the past 24 hours, the global COVID-19 situation has seen a total of 24,554 confirmed cases, including 3,925 new cases. China reported 24,363 confirmed cases with 3,893 new cases, along with 3219 severe cases and 491 deaths. The risk assessment by the World Health Organization (WHO) categorizes China at a regional level of "Very High" risk and the global level at "High" risk.
